In Vedic terms a 2026 forecast rests on where Jupiter and Saturn sit and when they change sign, which nakshatras the eclipses fall in, and Mercury's retrograde windows — all computable years ahead and identical for every astrologer using the same ephemeris. What differs between forecasts is the meaning laid on top. If a prediction for the year names no ingress and no date, there is no astronomy under it.
There is no objective ranking, and the lists that claim one are usually paid placements. Nothing about a practitioner is independently measured — no register, no outcome data, no published accuracy. What you can check is concrete: whether they work from your full chart rather than your sun sign, whether they will state the planetary period behind a date they give you, and whether the fee is fixed in advance. It matters because the Moon does more work in Jyotish than in Western astrology: the moon sign is the primary reference for daily prediction, the birth nakshatra is a moon nakshatra, and the entire Vimshottari dasha sequence is calculated from the Moon's position at birth.
