What a name correction looks like as arithmetic

1. Take the spelling ANIL. Chaldean values: A = 1, N = 5, I = 1, L = 3. Sum = 10, root = 1. In this system, a Sun-value name.
2. Now the commonest style of "correction" — adding a letter. ANILL: A = 1, N = 5, I = 1, L = 3, L = 3. Sum = 13, root = 4. The Rahu value, which most practitioners would consider a move in the wrong direction.
3. Try instead ANEIL: A = 1, N = 5, E = 5, I = 1, L = 3. Sum = 15, root = 6 — the Venus value, commonly regarded as favourable. This is a typical recommendation, and you have just derived it yourself in about thirty seconds.
4. Now weigh what changed. The letter total moved from 10 to 15. Nothing else did — not one placement in the birth chart, not the Mulank, not the Bhagyank, not any measurable fact about the person.
5. And weigh what it would cost. ANEIL on a passport that says ANIL. On degree certificates that say ANIL. On a professional registration, a PAN card, a decade of email. Every one of those is a real, certain administrative consequence, set against a traditional claim.
