What "a full Kundli" actually contains

Rashi chart (D1)

The foundation — every planet's sign and house at the moment of birth. Every other chart in the stack is a refinement of this one, never a replacement for it.

Divisional charts (Vargas)

Each sign of the D1 is subdivided by a classical rule specific to one life domain — D9 Navamsa for marriage and inner strength, D10 Dashamsha for career, and more. A planet strong in D1 but weak in its relevant Varga is promise that underdelivers; the reverse is a late bloomer.

Vimshottari Dasha timeline

A 120-year cycle of planetary ruling periods (Mahadasha) each subdivided into sub-periods (Antardasha), computed from the Moon's exact Nakshatra position at birth. This is what tells you WHEN a chart promise is likely to activate, not just whether it exists.

Panchang at birth

The five daily factors (Tithi, Vara, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana) at the moment of birth, which some interpretive traditions read alongside the D1 for additional context.

Reading the stack together — why the order matters

1. Start with D1: find your Lagna (rising sign) and note where each planet sits by house. This is the blueprint — every later chart refines it, none of them override it.
2. Check the Dasha timeline for which Mahadasha is currently running. A chart promise (say, a strong 10th house for career) tends to activate during the Dasha of the planet connected to it — the same promise sitting under an unrelated planet's period often stays dormant.
3. Only then open the relevant Varga for the specific question you have — Navamsa if you're asking about marriage, Dashamsha if you're asking about career. Reading a divisional chart before you've grounded it in the D1 and the running Dasha is how people end up with three fragments instead of one coherent reading.

The stack is ordered on purpose: D1 for the blueprint, Dasha for the timing, the relevant Varga for the specific domain. Skipping straight to a divisional chart is the most common way to misread one.

What this tool can NOT tell you
