This is the fast version of a compatibility check — three lightweight signals you can run with nothing more than two Moon signs, two birth dates, and two names, no exact birth time needed. It is deliberately NOT the full Ashtakoot Guna Milan system (that lives on Kundli Matching, and needs both people's exact Nakshatra, which needs an accurate birth time). What you get here is a same-day snapshot: elemental harmony between the two Moon signs, a numerology read on the two birth dates, and a numerology read on the two names — three different traditions, each answering a narrower question, combined into one quick picture.

The sign check groups the twelve Rashis into four elements — Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius), Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) — and scores the pairing by classical elemental logic: same element is the strongest match, Fire-Air and Earth-Water reinforce each other, Fire-Earth and Air-Water sit in workable balance, and Fire-Water or Earth-Air are the two combinations that take the most conscious effort. This is a sign-level heuristic, not a chart-level one — it reads which of twelve broad temperaments you each carry, not how your specific planets interact.

The date check reduces each birth day to a single digit (the Mulank) and reads the numerological relationship between the two — friendly, neutral, or challenging vibrations, the same planetary-ruler logic used across every AskSoma numerology tool. The name check does the same with the Chaldean value of each name. None of the three checks sees a planet, a house, or a Dasha — that is precisely what separates this quick read from the Kundli Matching page, and we say so rather than letting "compatibility check" imply more computation than is actually happening.

The four-element pairing rule behind the sign check

Every Rashi belongs to one of four elements. The pairing between your two Moon signs' elements — not the signs themselves — determines this part of the score.

Same element (e.g. two Fire signs)

Strongest pairing. Shared core values and emotional rhythm — you tend to "get" each other's reactions without translation.

Fire + Air, or Earth + Water

Very good. These pairs classically reinforce each other — Air feeds Fire's energy, Water and Earth stabilise one another.

Fire + Earth, or Air + Water

Balanced. Genuinely different operating styles that can complement each other with deliberate effort — Fire's drive tempered by Earth's patience, Air's ideas grounded by Water's feeling (or the reverse).

Running all three checks on one example pairing

What this tool can NOT tell you

• This tool needs no birth TIME and computes nothing from an actual chart — no Ascendant, no house, no planetary Dasha. It reads Moon sign (not exact Nakshatra), birth date, and name only. For the real 36-point Ashtakoot Guna Milan system with Nadi and Bhakut dosha analysis, use Kundli Matching, which needs an accurate birth time for both people.
• The elemental sign check groups twelve signs into four broad categories. Two people with the "same" element score can still have very different charts once their Moon's exact Nakshatra, their Ascendant, and their Venus placements are considered — element pairing is a first-pass filter, not a verdict.
• Numerology (the date and name checks) reads digits, not planets in a birth chart. A "challenging" vibration on a birth-day number is not a chart-level Dosha and should not be treated with the same weight as an actual astrological affliction.
