Its slots are ordinary at 1h 21m to 1h 41m; what is unusual is that the whole grid opens late against everyone else’s clock.

India runs one timezone across nearly 30 degrees of longitude, and Rajkot sits at the far western end of it. That single fact does more to Rajkot’s choghadiya table than its latitude does.
